Branch Manager

JOB Description:

Sales and Profitability

  • Ensure achievement of branch goals in terms of deposit volume, loan bookings, customer acquisition and retention and customer usage of bank products and services.
  • Create branch strategies to meet business targets.
  • Be knowledgeable of bank products and services to provide suitable financial advice to customers.
  • Identify and utilize unique opportunities of the branch to achieve sales goals.
  • Ensure NPL is at minimum and maintained below the acceptable level

Customer Experience and Relationship Management

  • Ensure branch is providing excellent customer service.
  • Function as the key person for banking needs both for existing and new-to-bank customers.
  • Strengthen the relationship with bank customers to make CAB their primary bank for their financial needs.
  • Address issues/complaints unresolved by frontline staff.
  • Improve branch queue and manage lobby traffic.

Operational Controls and Procedures

  • Ensure the branch is always operating in accordance to internal policies and controls.
  • Ensure applicable KYC and Customer Due Diligence are always in place in every customer onboarding.
  • Make sure AML Compliance policy is observed in all customer account opening and transactions.
  • Visit customer’s residence, place of business or collateral properties for verification.
  • Conduct necessary surprise checks on cash and collaterals and regularly review branch reports.
  • Ensure branch facilities are in good condition and functioning within bank standards.

People Management

  • Coach branch employees to improve individual and collective performance in terms of cross-selling, customer service and compliance.
  • Create an environment that fosters teamwork and high morale among the branch employees.
  • Ensure completeness of necessary trainings for compliance and career development of branch staff.


  • Act as reliever to the Deputy Branch Manager if needed.
  • Other ad hoc functions assigned by management.

Job Requirements:

Educational Degree:

  • Banking/ Marketing/Business Administration or other related field
  • At least 3 years relevant experience in managerial level.

Technical Competencies:

  • Very good command in English and Chinese language (Speaking, writing, listening)

  • Interpersonal skill
