Deputy Branch Manager (Sihanouk Ville)

Job Responsibilities:

Operational Controls and Procedures

  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the bank policies and procedures and must be familiar with the necessary KYC and AML guidelines applicable for different types of account opening and/or branch transaction.
  • Ensure all transactions and account openings are processed timely and accurately and approved according to internal policies and controls.
  • Function as primary branch vault officer and manage daily cash requirement, balancing and verification.
  • Safekeep branch collaterals (e.g. cheque books, debit/credit cards, passbooks, deposit certificates, etc.) and ensure daily balancing of all items.
  • Function as Branch AML Officer and make sure applicable KYC, Customer Due Diligence and AML policies are applied and documented in all customer onboarding and transactions. Relevant customer documents should be retained according to bank’s retention policy.
  • Review daily reports and resolve discrepancies in branch-managed GL accounts. Prepare reports as required by management.
  • Ensure customer records on file and in the system are updated and accurate.
  • Service ATMs assigned to the branch and make sure machines are available for customers at all times.

Customer Experience and Relationship Management

  • Keep transaction processing time short and manage lobby traffic.
  • Satisfy customer inquiries and resolve complaints appropriately.
  • Assist the BM in building rapport with customers and identifying financial needs of customers.

Sales and Profitability

  • Assist the BM in achieving overall annual targets of the branch.
  • Provide leads for increasing deposit and loan volumes as well as the customer base of the branch.
  • Maintains comprehensive bank product knowledge for cross-selling activities.

People Management

  • Updates the branch staff about bank policies and procedures applicable to branch operations.
  • Mentor branch staff in areas of transaction processing, customer service and cross-selling.

Others

  • Act as reliever to BM if needed.
  • Other ad hoc functions assigned by management.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance/Banking/Accounting or any relevant field.
  • 5 years or more of relevant working experience.
  • Have strong understanding of retail banking policies and processes.
  • Have strong understanding of AML, KYC, Due Diligence in banking.
  • Have strong understanding of banking Prakas by National Bank of Cambodia.
  • Possess good customer service skills.
  • Possess good verbal and written communication skills in Khmer and English.
  • Possess strong leadership skills.
  • Possess good reasoning skills.
  • Highly diligent in handling customer document and transactions.
  • Proactive and always looking for ways to improve branch process flow.
